General information about SASUF
The South Africa-Sweden University Forum (SASUF) started in 2018 as a strategic internationalisation project running from 2018-2020, with the overall aim of strengthening ties between Sweden and South Africa in research, education and innovation. In the year of 2021, SASUF was granted further funding, and a decision was made to extend the collaboration with a new three year project plan. This new era of collaboration goes by the name SASUF 2030, and runs from 2022-2024.

Funding Opportunities
Seed funding for collaboration has been essential to the success of SASUF. It will be featured in SASUF 2030 in a new format that will put emphasis of student involvement, as well as inclusion of external stakeholders. Researchers, teachers, and students will be able to apply for virtual exchange grants, which is a new funding scheme that will be piloted in the project. We also suggest some grants / scholarships for persons who individually wish to apply
for funding. -
How SASUF itself is funded
The SASUF collaboration is funded by the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT), as well as by the 40 partner universities themselves.
