Committees

Academic Collaboration Committee

This committee is in charge of creating medium/long-term programs to promote academic collaboration, such as academic writing retreats and shared competitive challenges. The committee is in charge of a database, allowing students to connect based on research interest. Further, the committee is looking for stakeholders and potential collaboration partners, helping members find opportunities for publications and conference participants, and organizes academic webinars or virtual symposiums showcasing student work across both South African and Swedish institutions.

Coffee Break Committee

The Coffee Break Committee is in charge of all coffee break sessions hosted by the SASUF Student Network. The SASUF Coffee Break Sessions create a hybrid platform for Swedish and South African students to come together on a monthly basis. The coffee break-session entails a lecture, arranged by one of the Student Representatives in the network, connected to one of the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations. The lectures are open for anyone to attend. Below, a detailed schedule is provided with the upcoming coffee break-sessions of 2025.

Framework Review Committee

This committee is in charge of updating the network's goals, purpose and themes. The update is made in collaboration with the rest of the network, but the committee is in charge of coordination by gathering input from members, and making sure updates reflect the diverse voices of the network. The committee is also in charge of tracking how well the goals are met, and making sure that the framework remains practical, inclusive and student-driven.

Media and Marketing Committee

This committee is responsible for ensuring that the network is visible and marketed to relevant groups. The committee creates posters for events, and is in charge of the networks social media and linkedin page. The committee is also responsible for a content calendar that aligns with SASUF activities, standardises content across platforms, and assists other committees in promoting their events.
